We collect what we need to run the marketplace and keep you safe — nothing else. You can edit or delete it all in two taps.
This page explains, in detail, what data Kyoos holds on you, why we hold it, who we share it with, and how to remove it. The principles behind it:
Account data — your name, phone number, email, and (for pros) the verification documents you submit during onboarding.
Location — your approximate location while the app is open, used to show nearby pros or jobs. Precise location is only collected during an active booking, to help client and pro find each other.
Activity — the bookings you make or accept, the messages you send through the in-app chat, and the ratings you leave.
What we don't collect — payment details. Mobile-money and bank transactions go directly through regulated payment partners. We never see, store, or transmit your card number, mobile-money PIN, or bank credentials.
The data above is used to match clients with pros, process payments, surface trustworthy ratings, prevent fraud, and improve the app. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Aggregated, de-identified data may be used in published research about the informal-services economy in West Africa.
We share data with:
Account and activity data are retained while your account is active. After deletion, financial records are kept for 7 years to comply with Ghanaian tax and anti-money-laundering law. Everything else is purged within 30 days.
